How do people become gay?

Being homosexual is not a choice. Even in the 21st century, the best scholars on the subject do not know what exactly causes someone to be gay. BUT, there's absolutely no intelligent reason to believe anymore that it is by choice. No more than I never chose to be straight, you didn't choose to be gay. Beyond that, there is only theory and conjecture.
